That said, I do have some things I'd love to get done. So here goes....
1) Last month I took an awesome Wonky Dresden Neighborhood class from Martha Lindberg at Not Your Mama's Quilt Store. I love my resulting quilt top & am thinking of making it into a giant pillow. Or maybe a mini? Whichever, it needs to be quilted and completed.
2) These bee blocks have been waiting patiently to be made into a quilt top. My Bee mates did such a fabulous job on them and I plan to add a few more blocks to the mix and at least get the topper done and off to the quilter in quarter 4.
3) This deserves a whole post which I promise in the next day or two. A recent trip to NYC resulted in a beautiful bundle of Liberty Lawns. I promptly cut into them and prepped an English Paper Piecing project to do while I am off my feet. I think an EPP Plus Quilt entirely out of Liberty will be so yummy.
So that's it. Anything else I get done will be gravy. What do you plan to get done by the end of the year? I'm linking up at A Quilter's Table.
Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super fun list! I love that wonky dresden especially! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love that wonky dresden! All the best with your list.
ReplyDeleteHopefully a doable list - especially with some hand-sewing planned. So glad you are joining in again!
ReplyDeleteI adore the wonky houses but the bee blocks really call my name. Good luck with your surgery. Can't wait to see what you finish.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely projects Ellyn! The wonky dresden is so fun. I love the colors in it too. Your bee blocks are going to make a wonderful quilt. EPP quilt in Lawns - oh yes, how yummy. Great job on sticking to your quarterly goals. I am currently having a long overdue quilting session with many many tops that I have made. I feel the need to wrap up some of these projects before the new year. I sew and sew and sew and the finishes don't match. However, I am fixing that now.
ReplyDeleteThe LIberty one is gorgeous! I also love the house dresden. You've got a great list!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a good plan for the quarter! That EPP will be perfect for you recovery - I'll be praying for a quick & complete recovery!
ReplyDeleteI really like that wonky neighborhood square - it definitely needs to be a pillow or mini!
Delightful projects -- they should keep you inspired during your recovery and rehab -- hope all goes smoothly!!
ReplyDeleteOOo I particularly love that first one with the cute houses. All your work is amazing. Good luck with your op.
