Something fun and new for me! I've never done a crochet along before, but when I saw this gorgeous afghan on the Cherry Heart blog it was love at first sight! As soon as we got home from NYC I scurried off to to Hobby Lobby and picked out my colors....
I'm using "I Love This Yarn" I love the way it feels and it was on sale this week. Bonus!
I'm all organized too! I made myself color swatches...
And put together a notebook to put the pattern pages into each week...
When the instructions came out on Tuesday for the first 18 rows, I got right to work. By Wednesday morning I had them finished....
Now I am impatiently waiting for next Tuesday when the next set of instructions is released. I can't wait to see where this goes!

Beautiful colors! you are so organized, I still have to print mine and buy the yarn. I haven't decide on colors and brand, right now I'm working on a blanket using Stylecraft and love how soft and light this yarn is... Your yarn looks so nice, how does it compare to Vanna's choice?
I love how your blanket looks so far - colors and the design! I always think that I should join the "a-longs" when I hear about them, but after two failed quilt a-long attempts so far - well, unfinished, anyway- I have to say no :) I'll just watch your progress from afar.
beautiful colours and you have really done a great job of the first set of rows...
Ooh Ellyn that looks gorgeous. I may have to heck it out. I also love "I love this Yarn". Very soft and washes well. I don't have an afghan project at the moment. I have just finished one for Gavin.
