building barns again

So, Lori posted the tutorial for barn number 2 in the quilty barn along over at Bee in my Bonnet today and since I had nothing else to do this afternoon (can you say "housework avoidance"?) I had to build one right away!
I really took my time with this one, making my seams very precise and the block is much less wonky than my first barn block. Oh, and look there in the window... there is a mouse in my barn!

Two barns done, and I must say, I am very happy with them!

What are you up to today?

Just finished an art journal page for today - 3 in row! I really like the little mouse in the barn - too cute.

I'm looking forward to helping you avoid housework tomorrow!! :)

These are so cute! There are so many great quilt along type things going on, that I would love to participate in, but then I never seem to get them done and just feel stressed out when I don't/can't keep up :(

Anyway, I especially love these barns. The appeal to the small town girl that I am at heart.

So cute! The mouse and chickens are a nice touch! Nice patterns on the side "quilts."

OOooo! There's a mouse in the barn loft! CA-UUUTE. Your barns are looking fantastic. I hope to work on my 2nd one this weekend. My barn quilt block is done; just need to cut the pieces for the actual barn.
